Good old John Kerry, the guy who ran against Bush last time, came out with this quote...too bad he couldn't say this 2 years ago...
"You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq,"
He may have to apologize but he shouldn't have to apologize for that gem.

Rushing to Conclusions, Pardon the Pun
I don't know if there is an retard award on Masteraid, but there ought to be for people like the king of horseshit himself, Rush Limbaugh. Recently, after the airing of a democratic party commercial featuring Michael J. Fox speaking out for stem-cell research towards a cure for Parkinson's Disease, Rush, being the ignorant bastard that he is, proclaimed that Michael was clearly acting to further his and the democrats cause. Bravo Rush in further varifying that your idiocy is not an act.

One Word....Camaraderie
Some people equate camaraderie with being jovial. It is anything but. Camaraderie is sharing hardship. It is shouts and commands, bruises and cuts.
It's a sore back and lungs that burn from exertion. It's heat on your neck and a pit in your stomach. It's a grimy handshake and a hug on wet shoulders when we're safe. It's not being asleep when it's your turn at watch. It is trust. It is respect. It is acting honorably.

What the Hell?
Where the hell did all the white poeple go? I've been in Markham this week, and durring my entire time down there, I saw 6 white people, not including the 3 with me, so that's 10 all together. 5 of them were the Engine 206 crew in the fire station around the corner, and I saw 1 cop. The rest, 79% Chinamen, and the rest were of middle eastern/western asia/Begledeshi ect... descent. And also to my surprise, no one speaks english! Not even the people who work at the Tim Hortons down the street. Immegration has gone to hell. Shut the doors now, and lock the fuckers up. Let the people already here stay, but no more.

The Death of American Liberty
In the United States, the Republicans sit and call the Democrats cowards and weak for not fighting terrorists through all capable means...i.e war on Iraq and the recinding of civil liberties. The war on Iraq, though not initially necessary and initiated under false pretenses, is now necessary. While Saddam Hussain was a brutal tyrant, he kept a balance of power in the Middle East. Now since that regime is gone, without the American troops in Iraq, the Middle East would implode into chaos as Iran would swallow up support in Iraq and gain even more of its already dominant influence in the region.
As for the civil liberties issue, whatever happened to "give me liberty or give me death" or "those who would sacrifice an essential liberty for temporary freedom deserve niether and lose both"? The inspirational, perhaps slightly embellished, quotes from American history cleary demonstrate the passion that Americans once took in defending their liberty. People were once sacrificing themselves for liberty. Now some Americans are saying 'we have a right to live' and are thus willing to give up some of their most basic liberties through the Patriot Act and other ammendments. No less than from the document, the Constitution of the United States, that was put in place by the founding fathers to maintain the liberty Americans had fought and died for in the War of Independence. It's clear and unfortunate that the current path repeatedly verifies that the weakest are those who leading and forget this history.
What differenciates your country from those you condemn and 'liberate' is the very freedom that they lack. Contrary to the present American course, the best way to defeat your enemy is not to become your ememy but to continue to emphasize your country's redeeming virtues to the world in a fassion that doesen't come accross as ignorant, misguided, deceptive, condesending, or contradictive. If over 300 years in idealizing your own virtues has taught you anything, Americans, it should be that the true cowards are those whom are not willing to do anything to protect their freedom, liberty and the overall integrity of their country. The United States may be one of the next countries that needs saved from tyranny, though I think America may have to 'rescue' itself...nobody else will.

King went a-runnin' after deer Wasn't scared of jumpin' off the truck in high gear King went a-sniffin' and he would go Was the best old hound dog I ever did know. I had a dog and his name was King I told the dog about everything There in my truck the dog and I Then one day the King up and died. Then I thought about the times we had Once when I kicked him when he was bad Old King sure meant a lot to me But that hound dog is history. King went a-runnin' after deer Wasn't scared of jumpin' off the truck in high gear King went a-sniffin' and he would go Was the best old hound dog I ever did know. That old King was a friend of mine Never knew a dog that was half as fine I may find one, you never do know 'Cause I still got a long way to go. I had a dog and his name was King I told the dog about everything Old King sure meant a lot to me But that hound dog is history. King went a-howlin' after deer Wasn't scared of jumpin' off the truck in high gear King went a-sniffin' and he would go Was the best old hound dog I ever did know.

Alas...Courtesy Applies to Some But Not All
Going camping without me, eh...Couldn't go when either of you were working but you can when I'm working. Hope you both die from hypothermia....No seriously, have a good time and freeze a couple testicles off for me won't ya. Then you can just use those and you won't have to buy potatoes to rap in foil, roast in the fire, and then thoroughly enjoy eating...mmm, tastes like fucking chicken. I'm just glad the trip is only inconvenient for me and not for anyone else in the whole damn world. Good old expendability.

Walking the Line indeed
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time.I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Because you're mine, I walk the line
I find it very, very easy to be true I find myself alone when each day is throughYes, I'll admit I'm a fool for you Because you're mine, I walk the line
As sure as night is dark and day is light I keep you on my mind both day and night And happiness I've known proves that it's right Because you're mine, I walk the line
You've got a way to keep me on your side You give me cause for love that I can't hide For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide Because you're mine, I walk the line

Weekly Wisdom
The beauty of school is that it's ideal...the trouble with school is that life's not.
In the real world, a straight shot of idealism will kick you in the head harder than a straight shot of anything else.

Fall Fair
Would Kenny and Kevin Edwards please go to there truck! Well the Alvinston Fall Fair has come and gone. Rollin into the fair early friday evening....We stick close together( can't trust the carnies). Well passing by some people we talk amogest ourselfs about carnies. "Your a Carnie" we hear comming from beside a frech fry truck....Next thing we know one thing leads to another. Taking out my Wallet pager and cell giving it to my friend to hole well i prepare for a dust up. Walking over to me we grab a hold of each other and i take him to the ground( Royce Gracie style) Ending up on my back we start to to graple flipping over i get on top and try to get and half naked choke on him...un able to do that i manover from half gard to side mount.
Ending up on my back again i start to work an arm bar on him. After Taking a few in the head and catching him in the face with my feet a few times. In slow motion i saw the opening grabbing his arm and and crossing my legs over his chest with me on my back and him standing butting on presure to his arm...i feel him tap out on my leg.
Standing up and my friends are laughing tell my friend TOke that it was a good match and continue on our walkabout.
