The year is not over but I am calling this the come back year of all!!

You might ask your self what was so special about this year, well you could say it is the first year in many that our Strong and proud leafs nation has had something to cheer about finally...some hope and light has been shed on us. even tho were not even half way into the season and yes a lot can happen but there in the top eight and fighting hard to keep it up.

i can't remember the last time they had a start to a season like they have had with this one. they will lose more games that's a give in but so far so good

maybe its the come back year for me personally. official member of a union that pays his dues, works hard and deserving this ( what a come back from OGS) because of this there is light at the end of tunnel we call life, we all know what benefits the unions have no need to run deeper into this one.

Is it the come back year for putting on the Ritz ? I know we have under 80 post this year but proud of the increase of members and post this year. we have had many slump years but this i think is catching on.

still wish i had more time for this in my life as for our other members hopefully see you soon!!!

So the other day after a long days at work i get this knock on the door and who else other then Laurel Broten. after a few moments of conversation she asked me if i vote Liberal. I came back with how shitty the roads are in our area and how horrible the "111 East mall" bus service is and how shitty the area is with all the graffiti. i also brought to her attention the closing of hospitals schools and other facility's not just in Toronto but Canada. there's no jobs. and how the government is taxing my asshole every which way from Sunday to Monday.

needless to say this was the end of our conversation and she went to the next idiot who opened there door and didn't slam it in her face when they realized what the got into.

Talk to me in five years when people will be sooo upset and surprised when Hudak has gutted the health system, taken away text books and full time teachers, merged school districts, doubled class sizes, scrapped progressive energy policy, closed rural medical services, caused hour and a half bus rides in rural communities, another walkerton with lower quality standards and environmental staff, erosion and more species at risk with enhanced property rights and lower Conservation Authority funding, that they will vote in another McGuinty style government.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It's pretty simple. Better education means a more productive workforce. Long term environmental spending means less contaminants in our air and water, thus healthier and more productive people, also meaning LOWER healthcare spending. Is that worth a short term couple hundred extra dollars a year? The short answer is no, the long answer listed above also happens to be no. :)

Yesterday morning Jack Layton Passed away with his second battle with cancer. Canada will greatly miss the man of the people.

This man made history this year with the Election. what Canada needs is now gone. the country Canada once was so fragile that the whisper of our nation name could make it crumble.

This man put a Back bone in to our country again! he was not a yes man nor a no man he just wanted his country back and Strong and free as a country could be.

Friday Night I watched The Fighter directed by David O. Russell and starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Melissa Leo and Amy Adams. There is more then just fighting involved in this move.

Well its not so much the winter blues but it is starting to piss me off winter is starting to drag on to long. First there's a shit load of snow then there's none then more comes. I know its part of being Canadian.

Seriously tho what do i do ? I'm use to just going for walks down town on the harbour front or going to markets on the weekend. but the snow isn't doing it for me so now i have to come up with a mid winter blues pick me up.

Well its too cold out side the jays are on there off season, Lis isn't convinced on going to a Mariles game yet so what do you do maybe this?

Egypt has been in a up roar for the past eight or nine days depending on where you live. I'm not sure when this all started but for some living there I'm sure this has been going on for some time only not to this big of scale.

Well whats next for this Country? The Egypt Government fired everyone in the cabinet and to my understanding that means there's only two people in power. one of them is the is both head of state and head of Government . The second is the people who are not backing down from what they think is right and wrong.

It almost seems like a battle between good and evil.

With all that has and is going on in Egypt Especially in Tahrir Square are surrounded by pro-Mubarak groups.

This is a big situation for not only there country but ours. One thing i have always liked about Europe and other countries on that side of the world is the ability of the people not the government or the army but the people who come together against there government. Now I'm not saying government is a bad thing yes we need them, the point is it seems that in Canada and the USA when there are protest they seem to never last as long as the out roars in Europe and like this current situation Egypt. When was the last time Canadians got together for something and not only tell but show the Government that were pissed off and want change other then things like the G 20 Summit that only go on for a few days and then its all wrapped up. What do we do? We go to vote for the same people based on the same bulls shit.

Time will tell if the USA has learned there lesson tho Lots of people are pushing for Obama ministration to step in. I say Let them Figure this out I'm sure they will don't go poking your nose in other peoples stuff cause just like in the school yard when i was a kid you did that you lost friends made enemies and maybe end up in a fight at the end of the day.

As far and the Reporters go that are being harassed and in harms way like Anderson Cooper they know and understand the risks of the job something breaks out and they go . Just like our Police Service and Fire Rescue services and Ems. they get the call they go no matter what because that's there jobs and if they weren't there they wouldn't be doing there jobs.

Yes it sucks that there are always casualties in these situations and injuries but i that always is the way it goes and that's always what it takes for changes to take place.

That being said...some of the blame for this tragedy lies on your shoulders for one reason: Columbine. April 20, 1999. Bullets bought at a K-mart kill 12 students and one teacher and injured 21. January 8th, 2010. Bullets bought at a Wal-mart kill 6 and injure 14. That's a lesson learned. "A mad-man does this every once in a while" the media says. Well let me ask this logical people of the world: what in the hell does anyone (nevermind a 22 year old) who is protecting themselves need with a Gloch 19 automatic with an extended cartridge and a firing rate of 1100 - 1200 rounds per minute? Are the mexicans invading?

I may be stepping on the toes of some patriots but the constitution was written in the 18th century. America is no longer a frontier country and the "indians" are no longer threatening your way of life. That was why the 2nd amendment was added at that time. I'm not a huge fan of Michael Moore but I hope he'll be all over this issue as he should be. It is also very sad and ironic that just a little bit of gun control, which the congresswoman vehemently opposed, could have made it more difficult for this tragedy to occur. When you meet violence with violence, there is always collateral damage.

Some say this is not the time for politics. NO this is the exact time for politics. Not for political squabbling and who is to blame, but dialogue and action. Tragedy, if nothing else, shows us what is wrong and should compel us to change. That 9-year old girl wanted to see how democracy works, for the love of God show her!

Blogging is probably the most noble form of internet communication these days in a world where talking via fingers and thumbs has become the norm. Is it nice to have a forum to engage real people from a real world that are attracted to genuine thoughts, thoughtful arguments, and common interests not friend counts, constant status updates, and tweets from twits.

Haha, if only that were true. Seen some of the sites on here and Bloggers are easily as dirty as everyone else.
