The way it is

According to the UN, Canadian Kids Smoked Most Pot In the Western World. The study also shows that usage among children is lowest in countries where there are fewer laws against it. Canada is also ranked 3rd last in the category of child health and safety, ahead of only Latvia and Romania. Kids only use what's illegal and exotic. Pot is not any more addictive than alcohol; it is perceived as a gateway drug only because of the criminals that users must usually associate with to obtain it. Excessively depending on any substance to alter reality in order to survive is unhealthy but laws against pot don't work, only leading to usage that damages young people's brains, the filling of expensive prisons, and the destruction of people's lives for minor offences. At the very least we must talk change because something is most definitely broken.
